STAINADELICA

The Stainadelica sits at the top of my stairwell (which was previously dead-space, and a bit gloomy), positioned over a print of the 1st panel of Lichtenstein's WHAAM (hence the insert of the 2nd panel - which is A4 sized for comparison)

Based on the album sleeve for Primal Scream's Screamadelica, the whole thing measures approximately 5ft x 4ft, is angled at 45 degrees, and hides a mirrror behind it which works to double up the light output and also blur's the exact position of the bulb - hopefully giving it a greater illusion of there being sky and sunlight behind it.

The whole thing was made by printing the image onto about 30 - 40 sheets of acetate, strategically cutting overlaps to go down the "leading" and doubling it through 2 layers to lose any pixelation that mightcome from it being a computerised image, and also to prevent any chance of gaps between panels.
